Week 119

Designers in New York City.

Week 119

I was lucky enough to snap two very important faces in the interior design world: Giulio Cappellini and Gaetano Pesce. A design firm owner and designer, they are sitting in a chair that is part of Cappellini’s collection and a chair Pesce designed, respectively. – JD

Week 117

WOW. I have to say I’m extremely excited for this week’s, Photo of the Week. If you made it to the show 2 weeks ago, you hopefully walked away with one of the 100 prints I handed out. Somehow one of my “Eli Hariton Beards” made it onto Houston Street, graffiti-ed up NYC style. The signature is by Samuel Mark. I don’t know who Mr. Mark is, or how he got a hold of my Beard, but I’d love to know the story. This brings me to my request. There are 100 giant prints out there, and I want to know where they ended up. SEND ME YOUR PICTURES and I’ll put them up. Thanks Derek for the find! – JD

Week 116

Reilly O’Donnell and Eli Hariton – B. 1985

Week 116

Last Friday the show Looking Forward, Looking Back opened with two of my portraits. The show is up for this week, so I encorage you to go check it out if you are in lower Manhattan. Below are some pictures at the opening, which included an appearance by the two subjects, some fantastic mustaches, 100 free prints, and two sharpies. A lot of people left with signed prints, and I’d love to know how many photos actually made it on to apartment walls. I’d really like to thank everyone for coming out, shaving a mustache, taking a print and supporting epic facial hair. Photographs below by Ben Jarosch. Check out my photographs through the end of the week at 715 Broadway(entrance on Washington Place.) -JD

Week 115

Mitch in Connecticut.

Week 115

Introducing Bob Mitchell. Mitch likes cars, skunks, and high heels. Mitch was my high school photography teacher, and put me steadfastly on the way to what I do now. Mitch now spends his time building excruciatingly detailed model buildings and planes. Below, Mitchell with his beloved MG and new Jaguar. Thanks Mitch. – JD
